■ Plum Blossom Noodle! Hotomeki FUKUOKA Tonkotsu Ramen ■
With its eye-catching pink noodles dyed in a plum blossom color, this is a rare and special dish. The lovely pink color comes from ume shiso and gardenia, and the subtle fragrance of plum pairs well with the light tonkotsu soup, making it a ramen that even women can easily enjoy. For this, too, we use a liquid soup instead of powdered soup. It's a ramen that further pursues deliciousness by adding the value of unique plum blossom colored noodles to a tonkotsu soup. Please enjoy this pink ramen.

◆ Kurume Ramen, the Birthplace of Tonkotsu ◆
Fukuoka residents take this for granted, but it's a fact not widely known across the country.
It may not be well-known, but Kurume City is the birthplace of tonkotsu ramen!

□ History of Tonkotsu Ramen’s Origin □
In 1937 (Showa 12), the founder of "Nankin Senryo" devised a clear tonkotsu soup, inspired by the popular Yokohama shina soba and Nagasaki champon from his hometown. Ten years later, after the war in 1947 (Showa 22), a ramen shop in Kurume City called "Sankyu" accidentally boiled down its soup for too long during preparation. This accidental failure gave birth to the origin of the current cloudy tonkotsu soup. In the 1970s, people began to call the cloudy ramen "tonkotsu ramen." And from "Sankyu" in Kurume, tonkotsu ramen spread throughout Kyushu and then to the world!

□ Liquid Soup, Not Powdered Soup □
Most instant ramen uses powdered soup, but to allow you to taste the concentrated, aromatic deliciousness of fresh flavors, we intentionally use more costly liquid soup! Liquid soup brings out more flavor than powdered soup!

□ Stick Ramen □
A beloved staple food of Fukuoka residents! Loved not only by Fukuoka residents but by people throughout Kyushu.
When Marutai Co., Ltd. released instant noodles in 1959, it sparked an instant noodle boom, and "stick ramen" with straight, thin tonkotsu ramen noodles began to be produced by noodle factories in Fukuoka Prefecture. Unlike general fried noodles, stick ramen is non-fried and non-steamed, making it healthy. We are committed to "making noodles that rival fresh noodles even as dried noodles," using a manufacturing method called "multi-water aged noodles" and extended aging time to create chewy, aged noodles.
Incidentally, "BOU RAMEN" is a registered trademark of Marutai Co., Ltd.

□ Monuments to the Birthplace of Tonkotsu Ramen □
There are two monuments to the birthplace of tonkotsu ramen in Kurume City!
① Located at 6-18 Hiyoshicho, Kurume City, near the entrance of the drinking district commonly known as "Bunka-gai."
② Located at 2 Chuo-machi, Kurume City, next to a food stall monument at the west exit of JR Kurume Station.
