(2) Send a draft (image of the character to be written) for the customer's confirmation (if there are multiple patterns, the customer selects one)

(3) Calligraphy directly onto the wood

(4) Surface processing

The entire process takes approximately two weeks.
Please note that communication with the customer is necessary to create the best possible product, so message exchanges will be required.

・Can I see what the characters will look like before placing an order?
→Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate this request as writing itself is a skill. Please review the sample images and only place an order if you feel "I want this person to do it" or "I can trust this person."
(※Please note that we do not accept cancellations or refunds for reasons such as not liking the calligraphic style once production has started).

・If you write directly on the wood, will the ink fade?
→We use ink specifically for wood calligraphy, which has excellent weather resistance. It is less prone to bleeding than regular ink and is superior in highlighting the blackness of the characters. Also, after calligraphy, the surface is processed, so it can be displayed outdoors. However, the color of the wood will change over time, and we do not guarantee durability in environments exposed to rain.

・Can I choose wood other than zelkova?
→Please consult us if you have a specific request.

・Can you accommodate calligraphic styles other than Reisho?
→In this pattern, we can also write in Kaisho and Gyosho.

・Is it possible to have a nameplate with only Kanji characters?
→Yes, of course. Since the size of the wood will not change, the characters will be positioned more towards the center, and the character size will be slightly larger.
